Delivery & Pickup

What happens if I’m not home when the delivery arrives?

If you’re not available, our driver will call and may leave your order with a designated person or safe location if instructed. Otherwise, it returns to the bakery and a redelivery fee may apply.

First delivery attempt

If you’re not available when our driver arrives, the driver will first try to call you at the phone number you provided with the order. We can also leave the cake with someone you designate – for example, a family member, a neighbour, or a concierge/front desk (if delivering to a condo or office) – just let us know in advance if there’s a specific person or place to leave it. If we reach you by phone, we’ll follow your instructions (we can leave it on your doorstep or with a neighbour with your permission).

If no safe drop-off is possible

If we cannot reach you or find a safe place to leave the cake, the driver will bring the order back to the bakery and we will contact you to arrange an alternate pickup or re-delivery. (Note: a second delivery attempt would incur another delivery fee which might be more as same day deliveries are more charges, so we really try to avoid that.)

How to avoid delays

To be safe, we do encourage someone to be present during the delivery window, or provide us instructions for what to do if you’re not in – that way your treats don’t get delayed.
